is my vagina too small for sex?

i'm a virgin but i've been with my boyfriend a while now and after trying a few things together we both feel ready for sex. recently he tried fingering me, but it hurt quite alot so i didn't enjoy it at all and he couldn't even get 2 fingers in me. i definitely wasn't dry or tense and i'ved used tampons for several years and done lots of ballet and gymnastics so i thought my hymen would already be broken. we've tried a few times now and it still hurts and doesn't give me pleasure. is it possible that my opening is too small? i'm 16 but a very very tiny build- i can still wear age 12 clothes and i haven't grown for years. will sex always hurt me because of my size or could it just be because my hymen is still intact? my boyfriend feels like it's his fault that he can't make me 'happy' and i'm getting really worried about it! any help is appreciated.

I still think you're too tight. Even if you're really small, but relaxed, he should be able to get 2 fingers in. There's a possibility you're small, but not to that extent.
Now, it is quite tricky to find the things you like, and for girls it's not so easy. Try lubrication and experimenting, like rubbing the surrounding area a bit, touching the clitoris, use your own fingers to explore a bit, and if you're able to get your fingers in, then you're not too small. Anyway, penetration is fun for guys, but for girls... it might take years for you to get used to it (I know it's still taking me years).
And make sure you tell your guy it's not his fault. He might take this real hard, but it's neither of yours fault.
